Escrow to Offer Euro Transactions

Anyone who has ever dealt with large domain or website sales in the past is probably familiar with the Escrow service. As many of you may already know, Escrow.com only allows for transactions in US dollars. But, that is about to change!

Starting in April 2013, the company plans to give clients the ability to make purchases or sales in the Euro currency. Don’t be mistaken though, the company won’t be doing any actual currency exchanges for buyers or sellers. So, when a transaction is started in Euros, it will be disbursed to the seller in Euros as well. If your bank is located in the United States they will most likely convert the Euro funds into US dollars before it shows up in your bank account. As always, Escrow will hold the funds in a non-interest bearing trust account through Bank of America before disbursing.

This is really great news from Escrow because I am pretty sure they have an extremely large customer base outside of the United States. This will be much easier particularly on European residents which I am sure Escrow has allot of. My question to all of the readers is…What other currencies should Escrow consider adding? The Japanese Yen? Australian Dollars? British Pounds? Or even the Indian Rupee?
